Why the GOP must heal up the #BipartisanHealthCarebill

“I have a doctor in the office every day,” one Republican lawmaker said.

“And I’ve been there for a year.”

Republican Rep. Michael Burgess of Kentucky said he was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2010, and he became a staunch critic of the Affordable Care Act.

He said he voted against it “because of the way it was implemented, and that’s what it boils down to.”

The GOP’s failure to repeal Obamacare is not the only reason GOP lawmakers in Congress don’t want to repeal the Affordable Healthcare Act.

Burgess told CNN’s Jake Tapper last month that “there’s a lot of things we’ve talked about, and we’re working on those things, but the bottom line is we want to be able to pass it.”
